The HyperMercantileLink
The HyperMercantileLink (hML) is a unified financial interface for the deployment and trading of the next generation of financial derivatives. hML links DeFi and TradFi, serving as the core venue for the continuous (24/7) trading of tokenized assets such as equities, commodities and fixed income, synthetic volatility products, GPU futures, and more.
Analogous to institutions like CME, hML functions as the on-chain derivatives design layer - where new instruments are proposed, parameterized, and deployed. Whilst also maintaining performant connectivity and an intuitive interfacing for retail trading.
hML leverages HyperLiquid's highly performant and proven L1 for its on-chain central limit order book and settlement infrastructure. Users will have the option to participate in the upside of hML by staking to earn rewards from fees generated via hML's HIP-3 perpetual markets.
Linking the innovation of DeFi perpetual markets with the structure of institutional finance, hML is positioned to become the primary hub for the future of derivatives markets - globally accessible, unrestricted and 24/7.
hML makes three key assumptions:
Global Transition to Continuous (24/7) Markets
Unlocking TradFi assets outside of bankers working hours. Incremental adoptions in legacy systems already underway - 24X National Exchange (TradFi 15/5), Kraken xStocks, Robinhood.
Perpetual Contracts as a Financial Primitive
Simple and capital efficient.
Next Generation of Financial Futures
Technological change introduces new financial derivatives, e.g. GPU futures, AI futures.
